NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Oregon Lightning are the newest members of the Arena Football One league, which will play its inaugural season in 2025. The AF1 X account tweeted the news of the expansion team on Tuesday. AF1 was launched is early September after the remaining eight teams from the rebooted Arena Football League, which played its first and only year last season during a year filled with challenges, joined together to form the new league.
